אֲמִירָהI f. (אמר I) 1) speaking, speech. Gen. R. s. 5, beg. לא א׳ לא דיבור no (power of) speech or word; a. fr.הא א׳ this is speech, i. e. this is right. Y.Snh.IV, 22b top; VI, beg.23b. Y.B. Kam.IX, beg.6d (contracted) הא׳ same. 2) the word amar (אמר) in the Scripture text. Y.Snh.VII, 25b bot. נאמר כאן א׳וכ׳ here amar is used ; as well as amar here indicates that the word is considered a deed ; a. e. 3) dedication (cmp. אֵימוּרִים.
